New York, NY: Messe Frankfurt, Inc. has partnered with The Murphy Group, an experienced and exciting fashion show producer, to organize their fashion show at the upcoming INTIMA America trade show, August 1 – 3, 2004 in Hall 1E of the Jacob Javits Center in New York. Having produced shows for the collections of Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan, Richard Tyler, Vera Wang and many other acclaimed apparel companies, The Murphy Group is a leading fashion authority that will create an exhilarating show featuring new designs from the INTIMA America exhibitors. The shows will highlight the Spring and Summer 2005 collections in the areas of lingerie, sleepwear, daywear and swimwear. The fashion shows will be held on the show floor in hall 1E of the Jacob Javits Convention Center on Monday and Tuesday, August 1 st and 2 nd, at 11:00am and 3:00pm.

In addition to the fashion shows, INTIMA America will be introducing a Swimwear Pavilion at the upcoming show to assist buyers in targeting their specific interests. This pavilion offers exhibitors a prime opportunity to showcase the latest products and designs in their swimwear collection. In a key location on the show floor, this pavilion is set to attract top buyers in the industry. The development of this new feature was in large part due to strong buyer interest and the importance of swimwear for the Spring and Summer 2005 buying season in the industry marketplace.

INTIMA America has engaged the services of Barry Ross Intimate Connections (BRIC), a global resource company for intimate apparel manufacturers and retailers, as a consultant. Ross has been a highly visible industry executive for many years, currently serving as the EVP of the Underfashion Club and as a member of the Executive Board of the Intimate Apparel Council (Division of the American Apparel and Footwear Association). He is a past President of the Intimate Apparel Square Club.

Barry Ross, the principal of BRIC, said that he is “delighted to be working with Intima’s staff in an effort to maximize the value of the Intima America Trade Show for the exhibitors and for the buyers. Our goal is to create excitement and interest via fashion shows, trend presentations, relevant seminars and other concepts. Another goal is to expand the exhibitor categories by enticing more swimwear, hosiery and accessory companies to join us. Ultimately, the Apparel Industry as a whole benefits greatly from the presence of a global trade show such as Intima America offers.”

Ross and Elly Ahn-McCloud, INTIMA America’s Trade Fair Manager, are currently formatting the final phases of the August Show, which will be held at the Jacob Javits Center, Hall 1E in New York City from Sunday, August 1st to Tuesday, August 3rd.
